This week we are continuing our series, How to be Happy in Tribulation. We are looking at seven mindsets, or spiritual disciplines that will enable us to walk in joy and contentment while overcoming tribulations. The second of these mindset is Graciousness.
Graciousness, also seen as forgiveness, is refusing to judge, be angry, critical or resentful and refusing to hold a grudge. Being gracious is vital to our relationship with the Lord, with each other and with ourselves. Thankfully, through the power of the Holy Spirit we have the ability to live free of these traps of the enemy.
Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. KJV
When we allow God’s character to become real in our lives we are able to walk in a place of graciousness, ready to forgive and not easily offended. God gives us unmerited grace and love and favor and acceptance. Becoming like Christ is our true goal which allows us to live a life of joy and peace no matter what circumstance may come our way. Just look at Jesus to know who you wanna be like.
Graciously,
