Greetings everyone. Did you know that end time prophecy is a subject of incredibly Good News for those who are in Jesus Christ?
Titus 2:12-14
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Looking for that blessed hope - the glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus. People want to shy away from End Time Prophecy because it predicts hardship for humanity. But, the remedy isn’t to hide our heads in the sand but rather remind ourselves constantly of the incredible and amazing promises of Christ’s return and what will happen to those who are in Him when He comes back.
The blessings of the world to come are beyond anything that we can imagine! Therefore, we can study End Time Prophecy and rejoice through it because we’ve read the end of the book! We win!
The most obvious and the greatest blessing of the world to come, is eternal life. But, what is everlasting life? All human beings will exist forever. But Jesus said in John 17:3 that eternal life is knowing God in a relational and experiential knowledge. Living in the presence of the Trinity in its fullness is beyond wonder, brothers and sisters. It’s so incredible that it makes any trials and tribulations we might suffer on earth a ‘light affliction’.
Have you experienced the Holy Spirit in this life? Have you ever had that encounter with God to where it’s overwhelming? It’s the most incredible thing isn’t it? And yet, what we experience in this life is just a tiny portion of the main event! Try to imagine being with Jesus, in His kingdom, for all eternity and His love is filling our every cell constantly!
Galatians 3 talks about the blessing of Abraham and receiving the promise of the Spirit. That’s the real promise of the gospel.
Psalm 16:11
You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 84:10
For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Psalm 42:1-2
As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So pants my soul for You, O God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God?
It’s all about Him and living with Him in a way that is more intimate than we can possibly imagine. If there was no other blessing in the world to come, it’d be far more than enough to be worth any sufferings we might experience in this life.
The second blessing we want to share today is the glorious transformation of our bodies! Our bodies will not go to heaven. Some of you are shouting ‘hallelujah’ right now! The transformation is going to be so incredible and awesome that the apostle Paul wrote about it like this in Phil. 3:7-11.
The resurrection is going to be so incredible that we can’t imagine it. Paul goes on to say in the same passage that we are going to be made into the likeness of Jesus! Think about that. Jesus could walk through walls yet it was also filled with glory. He wasn’t restrained by the laws of physics but He also enjoyed eating fish! All the pros and none of the cons!
Matthew 13:43 says Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Shining like the sun?! Wow! That sounds pretty awesome to me,. We’re going to be full of His glory, church. We can’t even comprehend it can we? But we should try! Because staying fixed by knowing the hope of all that is to come is how we will persevere with joy!
There are so many verses that talk about this. Why not take some time to do your own study on this? Build yourself up and get your hopes up for what is to come! Look up all the verses that talk about our transformed bodies and study it out.
Our bodies are going to be glorified just like Jesus. In Matthew 22 Jesus says that we will be like the angels, heavenly beings, for all eternity.
So there are just two of the many blessings that believers in Jesus Christ can expect from the world to come. Get your hopes up, saints, because there will be times ahead that will be challenging for those following the Lord and we need to keep our hopes high. As we study End Time Prophecy over the coming weeks, it’s crucial that we keep these things in mind.
Have a great week and remember, keep your hopes high! We'll be back next week with more on End Time Prophecy Revealed.
